Protesters at the Shaheen Bagh protest site. The protest site, began with a small group of housewives from the neighbourhood against the recently passed Citizenship Amendment Act morphed into one of the biggest peaceful protests to occur in the country sparking scores of cities and thousands to join in. The site was cleared in the first few days of the Covid 19 lockdown.

A group of workers from a shoe factory pose for a photograph on the Delhi- Meerut highway as they make their way back to their villages after the sudden lockdown shut their work place. In the absence of any work and wages its impossible for most to continue living in the city . The sudden lockdown resulted in hundreds of thousands of migrant workers and daily wage earner to walk back many hundreds of kilometers to their homes in the absence of any public transport.
